Chapter 154 Monster Incident
Chapter 154 Monster Incident
When Lin Shushu and Mo Ze returned to the villa, the An siblings had already returned, but they both looked listless, and An Xiaojie even had a lingering look of panic on her face.
Lin Shushu's face darkened. Could it be that the two of them were bullied while they were out?
There are many powerful and influential families on the Imperial Star. You can run into a member of a powerful family every few steps. If you encounter someone unreasonable, you are likely to be bullied, especially if they come from other small planets.
Countless thoughts flashed through her mind, and she had already figured out how to get justice for the brother and sister. Unexpectedly, An Xiaojie's words made her relax for a moment, but then she became serious again.
"Sister Shushu, we went to many places today. This place truly lives up to its name as the Imperial Star; it's bustling everywhere, and there are many things I've never seen before. However, we encountered a monster in the Mech Mall."
"A monster?" Lin Shushu and Mo Ze were both stunned. How could a monster appear on the Imperial Star?
"Yes, although I didn't see it clearly, I heard that the monster even bit off someone's arm!" An Xiaojie said, still feeling lingering fear.
"Are you facing each other head-on?" Lin Shushu asked with some concern.
The brother and sister both nodded. They were only 20 meters away from the monster at the time. When the monster grabbed someone and started biting, An Yuanheng quickly led his sister away from the scene and watched from a distance.
An Xiaojie was taken away by her brother before she could get a clear look at the monster, but An Yuanheng did. To be precise, the monster was actually a person, but for some reason it had fangs and attacked others.
An Yuanheng recounted what he had seen in detail. Lin Shushu and Mo Ze remained silent after listening, unable to draw any conclusions without witnessing it firsthand.
"I'm going to make a call," Mo Ze said, then walked to the side and went to contact someone.
Lin Shushu told the brother and sister to go and rest, while she logged onto the StarNet to check the situation. Presumably, the news had already spread.
Sure enough, the top three trending topics were all about the monster biting incident in the Mech Mall.
Monsters have appeared on the Imperial Star and are attacking humans in a frenzy.

Is it human or beast? Where did the monster come from?
Lin Shushu clicked through the links one by one, but apart from the video from that time, there wasn't much other useful information. This was pretty much what An Yuanheng had described.
It makes sense, considering that ordinary people wouldn't know the deeper details. It's already quite remarkable that the video was filmed so clearly, since in that situation, everyone's first priority is their own safety.
Soon, Mo Ze returned with a serious expression. "Shu Shu, you go to sleep first. I'm going out for a bit."
Lin Shushu knew what he was going to do and didn't insist on going with him. She just told him, "Be careful in everything, and contact me if you need anything."
Mo Ze nodded and left the villa.
Inside a sealed room at the Imperial Star Security Management Center, a humanoid monster was bound hand and foot with iron chains, constantly emitting roars like a strange beast.
The security personnel only dared to watch from a distance and did not dare to approach.
After receiving the report today, when they arrived at the scene, a member of the public had already had his arm bitten off. To avoid injuring the person, they had to abandon their firearms and instead remotely inject the monster with an anesthetic, using a dose ten times that of a normal person, before they could subdue him.
After bringing him back, he was initially just locked in the interrogation room. Unexpectedly, he regained consciousness very quickly and even bit a guard. After much effort, they managed to tie him up with chains. Even so, he still pulled the chains violently.
Soon, a team of soldiers from the security management office arrived, ordered to deliver the monster to the Imperial Research Institute.
"Why not just knock him unconscious?" the leading soldier asked, puzzled, upon seeing the monster bound hand and foot with chains.
“We tried it, but he woke up quickly, and later the medication simply stopped working, so we had to tie him up.”
The leading soldier nodded; this must be the reason they were needed.
After the military personnel painstakingly delivered the monster to the Imperial Research Institute, the researchers faced a dilemma: how could they conduct their research on him without knocking him unconscious?
"Even you guys can't do it?" The leading soldier was extremely surprised. If these research fanatics couldn't do it, then who could?
Just then, Moze appeared. He was personally accompanied by Dean Ellison.
"How's the situation?" Ellison asked the researchers as soon as he appeared.
After the researchers explained the situation, Ellison looked at Mo Ze with anticipation, "I wonder if Marshal Mo has any solutions?"
"Let's go in and check the situation first," Mo Ze replied simply.
As soon as the group entered the room where the monster was being held, a roar came from inside, startling everyone except Mo Ze and the military personnel.
Mo Ze remained unaffected. Ignoring the monster's furious roars, he stepped forward to examine it closely.
The terrifying monster before us, though still vaguely recognizable as having a human outline and figure, exuded an aura completely different from that of a normal human.
Those fingers, which should have been ordinary fingernails, had now mutated into terrifying shapes with sharp hooks, and the open mouth revealed a row of extremely sharp teeth, especially the two front teeth, which had completely transformed into the fangs that only strange beasts possess, gleaming with a cold light that sent chills down one's spine.
Despite its terrifying appearance, Mo Ze remained completely unmoved. He gathered spiritual energy in his hand and touched the monster's brow. The monster's roars immediately ceased, and it slowly closed its eyes and collapsed.
This scene piqued the curiosity of everyone present. How was that done? It's incredibly effective!
“He won’t wake up for at least two days. The rest is up to you,” Moze said to Ellison.
"Alright, thank you, Marshal Mo!"
After everyone else left the room, Ellison immediately began conducting various studies with his team.
Mo Ze naturally wouldn't just wait there; he left on his own, and someone would notify him if there was any news.
Back at the villa, Lin Shushu, who was still awake, greeted Mo Ze upon his return, asking, "How did things go?"
Mo Ze put his arm around her and led her back to the room, replying, "The researchers at the institute have begun their examinations, but there's no conclusion yet."
"And you, did you notice anything?"
Upon hearing this, Mo Ze paused in his steps. After hesitating for a while, he spoke uncertainly, "Shu Shu, do you remember? I once told you that I was kidnapped when I was six years old, and after being rescued, I inexplicably turned into a rabbit."
Lin Shushu certainly remembered; when she first met him, he was in his rabbit form. Come to think of it, she quite liked his rabbit form.
"You mean, this incident is related to what happened to you back then?" Lin Shushu asked, her mouth agape in shock.
"Maybe yes, maybe no, it's hard to say right now." After all, he had completely changed his form, while in this incident, the monster seemed to have not completely transformed, which is why it only showed some animalistic characteristics.
Regardless of whether the two events are related, there must be a huge conspiracy behind them, and they cannot let things get out of control.
As for how to proceed, let's wait for the research institute's results!
