As the warship flew back to the capital headquarters, Xi Yu, left unattended, began to wander around the ship.
Yan San was forcibly dragged away by an old man with a full head of white hair. Fu Baili had been dealing with military affairs, and the two guards who were originally watching over her were also injured and were receiving treatment.
After walking for five minutes, Xi Yu felt bored. She found an empty spot to wait, planning to continue what had been interrupted when Fu Baili was free. She didn't want to drag the engagement out again.
After waiting for another ten minutes or so, a guard came and asked her to go to the infirmary.

As soon as Xi Yu entered the infirmary, the white-haired old man clicked his tongue in amazement, while Yan San was covered in wires connected to instruments, like a guinea pig, and Fu Baili stood to the side.
Yan San saw her immediately, but when he noticed her gaze was fixed on Fu Baili, an inexplicable anger flared up within him.
The values that had stabilized on the instrument display suddenly started to spike again, fluctuating wildly.
"Baili, don't you have anything to say?" Yan San's voice was unusually cold.
Fu Baili shuddered and hurriedly pretended to be busy as he walked, saying, "Now that you're alright, I still need to go check on the other wounded."
Xi Yu frowned. Her matter was also urgent, and it was just a matter of signing her name.
"Wait, I have something to tell you." She grabbed Fu Baili's sleeve to stop him, and said with a frown.
The sight of her hand gripping Fu Baili's sleeve stung Yan San's eyes, and he wished he could burn that sleeve to ashes immediately!
Fu Baili inwardly groaned, wondering what terrible things he had done!
"You haven't forgotten the purpose of our meeting today, have you?" Xi Yu asked tactfully. All she needed was for the other party to take out that thin piece of paper, and for the two of them to sign it, and that would be the end of it.
Yan San was stunned. So the man she had arranged to meet today was Fu Baili! When did they meet? And what was their relationship?!

Xi Yu hesitated and remained silent. She didn't want others to know about this engagement, especially Yan San.
Her hesitation cut his heart like a sharp blade.
Dr. Qi, who was standing by and watching the show with an air of indifference, stroked his beard. It was the first time he had ever seen Yan San show such a vulnerable expression. It was truly unbelievable!
The atmosphere grew increasingly heavy, like a bomb that could explode at any moment, making everyone feel uneasy.
Finally, Fu Baili couldn't hold on any longer. He closed his eyes, steeled his resolve, and shouted at Yan San, "I have absolutely no relationship with her! Today's meeting was only to help you break off your engagement!"
Having said all he needed to say, he turned to Xi Yu, pointed at Yan San, and roared, "The one you're engaged to is him! Not me! I'm just a gofer!"
"You should resolve your own issues! Don't drag me into this!!"
