Chapter 142 Making Outrageous Remarks
Chapter 142 Making Outrageous Remarks
"Speed up, speed up! Everyone, channel your fire magic into the energy chamber to make the fuel burn even brighter! When it comes to sailing speed in the Endless Sea, our fire-attribute organization is the fastest. This guy can't escape!" Far urged excitedly, waving his hands vigorously in the air. "Kill this guy, and we'll all get a reward."
"No problem." One of the wizard apprentices was full of energy, with an eager expression on his face. He quickly formed hand seals and poured fire magic into the energy chamber.
"Everyone, give it your all! The boat's power is at full capacity!" a witch said with a smug smile, waving her hands rapidly in front of her.
The members of the Sons of Flame all believed that the person on the small boat was Lin Wei, and the rewards from the organization were already flashing before their eyes.
"This ship is getting faster." Lin Wei watched as the distance between the two ships gradually decreased, a few beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, and his hands unconsciously gripped the gunwale.
"It's alright, as long as we can get out of this area and fewer people see us, it'll be fine. These guys are just eager to die." Lin Wei's eyes were cold, he gritted his teeth, and clenched his fists tightly.
An hour later, both Lin Wei's small boat and the Flame Child's small boat sailed away from this area and reached a distant sea shrouded in gray mist, a place Lin Wei had deliberately sought out. The surrounding gray mist was so thick that visibility was extremely low, and only the surrounding waves could be vaguely seen.
Looking at the Flame Child's small boat so close at hand, Lin Wei stood calmly on the deck with his hands behind his back.
"Hey, everyone on board, our captain, Far, wants to have a word with you. Your ship isn't fast enough; you can't escape."
On the small boat of the Son of Flame at the rear, a magical megaphone appeared, and a wizard apprentice was shouting. He stood at the bow, hands on his hips, and shouted at the top of his lungs.
"What do you want?" Lin Wei stopped the small boat, crossed his arms, and looked at him with disdain.
The Fireborn were overjoyed and quickly maneuvered their small boats to connect the two ships together. The ships collided with a loud crash.
Captain Farr floated over slowly on his magical broom, riding the connecting rope. A confident smile graced his face as he lightly waved the broom in the air. Behind him, five or six second-class wizard apprentices followed, each with an arrogant expression and hurried steps.
"We don't want anything, we just wanted to say hello. Could it be that you are Lin Wei, the second-class wizard apprentice of the Turing Tower?" Far looked at Lin Wei, who was sitting cross-legged on the deck, and asked with a slight smile.
"Yes, I am Lin Wei." Lin Wei nodded, showing no fear on his face.
"No wonder you ran away. We're here to avenge the dead," a wizard apprentice declared confidently, his fists clenched and his face contorted with rage.
"Uh..." Lin Wei was defeated by him, shook his head helplessly, and spread his hands.
These people want to frame me, yet they come up with a high-sounding reason. How hypocritical!
"Hurry up and get started, I'm in a hurry to get back and fish for sea creatures," Lin Wei said with a smile, a slight smirk playing on his lips, completely disregarding the others.
"Kid, what nonsense are you talking about?" one of Paul's henchmen said, pointing at Lin Wei's nose with wide eyes and a mocking expression on his face.
"Yes, a second-class wizard apprentice dares to spout such nonsense. He only defeated so-and-so earlier, right?" A witch chimed in, her arms crossed and her lips curled downwards.
Throughout the entire process, they were unaware of the Flame Child who had previously clashed with Lin Wei; they were simply looking for an excuse.
Paul remained silent, enjoying the feeling of being fawned over by everyone, a smug expression on his face, his hands behind his back.
"What a dawdling." Lin Wei twisted his shoulders, his body slowly expanding, his muscles bulging and making a "crunching" sound.
Soon, it swelled to seven or eight meters, lowered its lion head, looked at Pol and the others, and its fur stood on end, exuding a powerful aura.
"This size is enough." Lin Wei paused. "If it were any bigger, the small boat might collapse. We'll have to find a way to get a medium-sized boat in the future, at least thirty meters wide, enough to fit me in my largest form."
Bohr and the others were completely mesmerized.
"What the hell is this thing? How can it grow so big? A huge silver lion?" Paul exclaimed, his eyes wide as saucers, his face filled with terror.
Generally speaking, body size is related to strength; the larger the body size, the more energy it contains, and the stronger the body.
"Go! Kill him!" Paul shouted after realizing what was happening, waving his hands to direct the crowd to rush towards Lin Wei.
A wizard apprentice rushed forward first, his hands quickly forming hand seals, and a flame shot towards Lin Wei. Lin Wei neither dodged nor evaded, but directly extended his claws and shattered the flames, which scattered on his claws into sparks.
Another witch attacked from the side, wielding a magic wand and aiming it at Lin Wei's back. Sensing the movement behind him, Lin Wei whirled around, flicking his tail to knock the magic wand from the witch's hand. The wand arced through the air before falling into the sea.
Seeing this, Bohr took action himself. He rapidly waved his hands in the air, unleashing a massive pillar of fire towards Lin Wei. Lin Wei opened his mouth wide and roared, a powerful gust of air blasting out and scattering the fire pillar. Flames flew everywhere, landing on the sea surface with a sizzling sound.
"Is that all you've got?" Lin Wei sneered, then charged towards Pol with incredible speed, creating a gust of wind in his wake. Before Pol could react, Lin Wei swatted him away with a claw, his body arcing through the air before crashing heavily onto the deck, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
Seeing this, the other wizard apprentices turned pale with fright and turned to run away. Lin Wei would not let them succeed. He quickly chased after them and knocked them all to the ground with a single claw. The deck was covered with groaning wizard apprentices.
"Commander Bohr, let's ignore this brat and just kill him. We can just cut off his head and report back." The witch was the first to calm down, tilting her head slightly, her eyes revealing a ruthless glint, and quickly reminded him.
"That's right." Paul bit his tongue, a metallic sweetness spreading in his mouth. He frowned, trying to calm himself down, and gripped his wand tightly with both hands. "Everyone, attack together, use your best magic."
"Fire Smash!" Paul roared, his voice echoing through the air. He swung his wand sharply, and flames instantly burst forth from the tip, orange-red in color, dancing and hissing.
"Burning Ball!" a wizard apprentice shouted, his face turning red as he rapidly formed hand seals. A fireball appeared in front of him, gradually solidifying and growing from the size of a fist to the size of a washbasin, with flames constantly churning on its surface.
