The Sony VAIO SZ280P/C is an excellent machine. It’s a bit of a cross between an ultraportable and a thin-and-light notebook. It’s smaller and significantly lighter than most thin-and-lights while, but can easily match or exceed their power and feature set and slightly larger and heavier than most ultraportables, but far more powerful and feature rich. The design is excellent which is a very thin, slightly wedge shaped package with high quality materials. The carbon fiber case is very stylish and strong and pushing on and twisting the screen showed no evidence of distortion. The hinges seem small but sturdy.

The lid is very strong and protective and the hinges are good. The case is made of plastic and tThe overall chassis feels a bit unsturdy. The screen is a 14.1″ WXGA glossy screen display. This LCD will give user higher brightness levels than standard displays. The screen also have the anti reflective coating to minimize reflection that eill make a beautiful clear image from any viewing angel. The horizontal viewing angle of the screen is very good, even from 180-degrees off to the side the screen is still bright and the text still seems clearly but the vertical viewing angles are not as good.
The Sony FE550G series is the dual core update of its FS series and looks almost the same. The FE is a main stream 15.4″ notebook that is supposed to appeal to the more style oriented users. The VAIO FE design is aesthetically pleasing. It might be popular with people in the fashion, art and entertainment industry while this is not a typical business notebook because its color composition is very stylish but at the same time still very clean looking. The outer shell seems to be made of some metal composite that feels very solid.
The Sony VAIO SZ110/B is Sony’s entry level SZ series notebook. The SZ to combine mobility and power without sacrificing too much of either. The SZ-110B has a black-and-silver magnesium and plastic body. The cover is matte black plastic with a rough sandpaper-like texture. The screen border and keyboard keys are solid black. The rest of the notebook is metal with a few areas of black trim. The notebook is lightweight and very portable, with only 4 lbs weight. The notebook isn’t quite as light as the smaller 3-pounders, but its larger screen and internal optical drive make the tradeoff worthwhile. The notebook seems generally well-built and nothing feels too loose or flimsy. The magnesium/plastic casing feels solid and looks great to boot.
Sony VAIO BX541B is stylish to use at home and office. It is packed with versatile features such as a modular bay, biometric fingerprint reader, and built-in camera that can video conference with an available wireless Bluetooth headset.
