Give Review
The Lenovo C100 is a notebook for small bussines buyers. This is a solid notebook. The case is made by plastics that some are thin and brittle and other are tough. The palm rest compresses about the same as a chunk of hardwood. And the framework under the keyboard only flexes when pull a very weight on it. The battery design is fits into the body, instead of sliding into the back of the unit. The optical drive is on the left the battery. The hard drive is made by Seagate, the DVD drive by Samsung, wireless card by Intel, and RAM by Hynix. This is a surprise because this notebook is aimed at the low cost laptop market. (more…)
The ThinkPad Z61m is the update to the newer widescreen Z series of ThinkPads with titanium cover. The Z series is the more multimedia oriented notebook with a widescreen display, built-in web cam, media card reader and FireWire connector. It also have an Intel’s latest and greatest CPU. The titanium lid cover of this laptop added some panache and toughness to the Z61m. And there’s no more fingerprints on titanium lid. The Z61m is still litlle heavy in comparison to other notebooks in its class. The Z61m is also fairly thick. The feel of Z61m is substansial. The inside of the Z61m is made from rugged and elegant plastic. The Z61m is unyielding, most likely due to its remarkably rigid roll cage.
The ThinkPad R60 is an update to the ThinkPad R52. The R60 is thinner and has a more durable casing that T60 although some people say that they are very similar. The improved of R60 from the R52 is by offering the faster new Intel Core Duo processor, an extra USB 2.0 slot, optional integrated WWAN, magnesium-alloy roll cage for extra internal component protection and an ATI X1400 graphics card. The R60 case design made by rugged plastic. There is some flexing in the case and certainly more than on the T60 series. The lid protection from the case is very good, with no ripples onthe screen when push on it. Inside there’s magnesium constructed roll cage to protect components, internals are further protected by a sturdy skeleton. Drop from 5 feet may crack the case but the guts of the notebook will be protected from shock and damage.
The IBM Lenovo X41 Tablet PC is a lightweight, full-featured notebook with outstanding battery life. At about 3.2 lbs. this notebook packs the best built-in security technology. It have a sturdy case with a responsive and full-sized notebook keyboard and bright displey. The X41 is designed to take a beating, not just to look. The hinges, keyboard, screen cover, case and trackpoint buttons all exude physical quality. The ThinkPad X41 use plastic for the case, but it’s a reinforced plastic composite. The case material provides for a very rugged and durable build, but still keeps the weight down. The screen lid is constructed of a magnesium alloy so there’s no flexing of the screen when push on it. It also have the IBM Active Protection System for the hard drive.
The ThinkPad X60s is the popular ultraportable ThinkPad X-series from Lenovo. It is the evolution of the former ThinkPad X41 notebook. The X60s is slightly deeper than the past X41. The X60s is light enough at 3.4lbs that easily palm it while walking around. The build of X60s is feels strong that mean it’s a sturdy built. The keyboard is spill proof, there are two drains that take liquid away from the keyboard and out the bottom of the notebook. Tough steel hinges provide a very firm screen opening and closing experience, and the screen absolutely will not wobble even on a very bumpy flight. A magnesium alloy material screen lid provides strong protection for your LCD screen. The minor things is the green LED display overlay on top of the notebook that is apparently glued on.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T60 can be configured with a 14-inch or 15-inch screen in varying resolutions. The T2500 2.0Ghz Core-Duo processor is Intel’s line of mobile processors. It’s nice and fast. The perfomance is impressed. There was no lag while you simultaneously burning and working. For example you can scan virus and spyware or burning CDs and doing anything at the same time and you find there’s no lag.
