HP dv5000t Notebook
The Hp dv500t design’s isn’t boring or plain like some notebooks, it stands out and looks good. The corners are rounded and the case is made of sturdy plastic. It’s not too heavy for 15.4″ widescreen notebook. The extended life battery has a large overhang of nearly 1-inch. It makes the notebook sit at an angle on any flat surface, which can be good for ergonomics and typing.
One negative note, the silver paint used on the back of the LCD easily scratches, it might be a good idea to get a sleeve to protect the notebook when being carried.
The LCD protection and built are solid. If you try to pull the LCD open with one hand it will pick the entire notebook up off the desk. If you lift the LCD up into the position for normal use and try to wobble it to see how firm the hinges are in the open position, the screen move a little bit, there is a slight bounce of about 4 times before it will stopped moving.
And the covers for both memory and the hard drive are located on the bottom of the laptop.

HP customer service has always been below standard from everything. You could ever expect to get highly personable service and support from a large corporation like HP. They proved to be rather slow and not very knowledgeable of their products.
This notebook overall is haevy, with huge 12 cell battery. The graphics card choices could be better and HP should offer a Higher Resolution LCD. It also have no driver cd or restore DVDs included.
But it have very nice wide screen. The sound is very good. The CPU is very fast and you can upgrade memory or HD.
