RIM Blackberry 8700 Tablet PC
Give Review
The Blackberry 8700 is 320 x 240 transmissive LCD Pocket PC with QWERTY keyboard. Its design thin with large screen and somehow larger than the average phone. The screen is nice with full QVGA resolution with lot of space for the applications. The keyboard is comfortable and easy to use. But the build quality is not good enough. Its wobbly and shaky, not solid like other device such as Palm products.
The Blackberry 8700 powering by 312 MHz Intel Processor and backed up by 16 MB RAM and 64 MB flash memory. The Processor is PXA901 which is usually use in cellular phones. The 64 MB flash memory will give extra space to storage. Its nice. (more…)
The Treo 700p still look like its predecessor, the 650 with little changes. The keyboard still same, its small and rounded with slow text input. The button above the keyboard design like you’ll found at the Treo 700w. The processor also not changed, its still powering by 312 MHz like on the 650 and 700w. Its a big mistake, I thought. But, the 320 x 320 pixels screen is so nice. Its so bright and gratifiying to see.
If you’re looking for a thin smartphone with nice QWERTY keyboard and low price offers, you should take a look at the Motorola Q. And it’s not just thin, with only 4.1 ounces, the Motorola Q is a lighter smartphone compare to other Windows Mobile 5 based smartphone. Motorola build this machine strong and smooth. The design is not exceptional, but with its size, the Q offers something different. The QWERTY keyboard is nice to use but its not too responsive. The keys must pressed firm or you’ll missed some letter when you writing a message or an email. But overall, the keyboard is good. On the back of this machine, there’s the integrated 1.3 megapixel digital camera, flash, speaker and battery compartement.
The Nokia 9300 is horizontal clamshell with Symbian as the operating system. It’s a large phone of the standard candy bar design. The built is very well. It’s feel sturdy but not too heavy. When the 9300 open, it reveals a keyboard with 58 keys, eight program launch buttons, four input buttons, a 9-way joystick mouse and a brilliant 640×200 pixel display. The 9300 dimensions is 5.2″ x 2″ x 0.83″ with 5.89 ounces of weight. It’s not small or huge. It’s menageable. The Interior Display of 9300 is so fantastic. The color is pure and vivid with five brightness levels. It’s not touch sensitive display but works very well outside, even in direct sunlight.
The T-Mobile SDA is a PDA with reach features including quad-band GSM/EDGE, WiFi and a QVGA screen. It is a product of High Tech Computer of Taiwan. It’s also known as HTC Tornado. The keypad and buttons are comfortable to use and press. Except the top row of keys below the screen, which include the left & right softkeys, back, and home buttons that so small and more difficult to press. Under the battery, there are the phone’s miniSD slot on center and SIM card holder on right. The SDA build quality is excellent and comfortable.
HP iPaq hw6515 is a solid device. The thumb keyboard is easy to use and the 3 inch screen resolution is 240 x 240. There is a green phone button to enter the phone app and dial a number and red phone button to end a call. The thumbstick is a 4-way directional control with a click action to confirm your choices. On either side of a thumbstick there are a button for Contacts and one to access the Messaging application. There are replaceable lithium-ion battery, the camera lens, a light for the camera, and a nice little convex mirror for self pictures on the back of the phone. On the right side there are the stylus silo and the two slots for the SD card and mini-SD card and the left side is a spring-loaded slider switch to control the volume. And on the bottom there are the headphone / ear bud jack, reset pin, the jack to plug the device in for charging or syncing and a hole for the microphone.
