Prime Notebook Computer Review

Dell released the XPS M1710 as a gaming notebook with amazing Intel Core Duo processor. The notebook design with striking red and metallic black lid, which is will catch anyone eyes. It’s build very sturdy. The case made by magnesium-alloy and covered the notebook from top to bottom. The palm rest made by a thick rugged plastic. The hinges are constructed of steel and the lid is so strong. But the plastic on the bottom of the LCD is easy to bend and flex, Dell should do better on this side.

The Intel Core Duo T2600 2.16 GHz, which is powering the notebook is outstanding. It’s so powerfull. The Nvidia GeForce Go7900GTX graphics card also amazing. (more…)

The Compal HEL80 is mid-range notebook with good battery life and nice processor’s performance. The notebook come with solid build, stiff chassis and almost no flex on it. The screen is surround by small rubber squares which is make fit when the laptop closed. The notebook also look elegant with cooper trim surrounds the keyboard. Overall, the design is top class.

The screen is amazing. It’s a matte WSXGA+ with 1680 x 1050 native pixels resolution. The colors are vibrant and the contrast is very good. It’s really nice to watch movies or playing games on it. The horizontal viewing is great, and the vertical viewing although not that good, still satisfiyng. (more…)

The Satellite P35 with Intel Pentium 4 processor comes still like other Satellite notebook with black keyboard, silver interior and blue scheme on the top. With 9.5 lbs, this notebook is heavier than other notebook on the market and not easy to carrying this notebook around. It also big with 16.5″ x 11.5″ x 1.57″ size. Some user maybe doesn’t like this size.

The P35 powering by Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz backed up by 512 MB of memory. This Pentium 4 show me great performance. Doing multitasking or playing high-end games, the notebook still fast and never gets slow. For storage, the notebook comes with 80 GB, 4200 rpm of hard disk. It’s adequate for me. (more…)

Before the end of this year, Acer will released two new laptops, Aspire 2000 and Travelmate C300. The Aspire 2000 offeres 15,4″ Widescreen TFT LCD and powering by Intel Pentium M processor. There is also DVD playback included with this laptop. Acer also offers two operation systems, Microsoft Windows XP when laptop in normal PC mode and Linux in instant-on mode. The Tecra M7 Tablet PC with rotating screen is a powerfull notebook from Toshiba. This notebook looks so elegant with black and metallic silver color. Toshiba also built this Tablet PC very sturdy. There’s also fingerprint scanner on the side of the screen. This fingerprint is easy to use and works very well when use as notebook or Tablet PC. The notebook also has a good feature, shock detection sensor. It’s work when the machine moved, shut down the hard disk to prevent damage. (more…)

If you are looking for an ultra portable notebook with decent battery life, then the Toshiba Satellite U200 must be one of your objects of desire. The notebook come with 12.1″ widescreen and only 4.1 pounds. It’s “small” and easy to carrying around. Toshiba design the U200 just like the Tecra M6, durable and solid with magnesium alloy chassis. The exterior is black and grey nice color. There is no ripples on the screen when pushed on the back. Overall, the design is simple but nice looking. (more…)
