Prime Notebook Computer Review

The Toshiba Libretto U100 is a small-light ultra portable notebook with fast processor in this class. Its only 2.2 pounds, so easy to carrying around to school or office. The case made by plastic, but it solid and sturdy with almost no flex. The notebook also have some Design features from Toshiba, like Shock protection and HDD protection. That will give more protection for the notebook from damage when drop or collide.

The screen is 7.2″ WXGA with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution. Although small, it’s nice and bright. Watching movies is very good on this notebook. But, because it’s size, some user maybe have problem to see. (more…)

The Latitude D520, not like it prodecessor is more faster and have new looks. Dell made it solid with case from plastic, sturdy steel hinges and a magnesium-alloy around the entire machine. The notebook also equipped with Dell’s Strike Zone technology to protect the hard drive from short falls. The 14.1: XGA screen is nice with excellent brightness and contrast and is viewable on direct sunlight. Its a nice screen.

The notebook powering by Intel Core Duo T2300E 1.66 GHz backed up by 512 MB of RAM. The performance of the processor is good and fast. Its works well when multitasking without problem. (more…)

The Qosmio F25 with 1.86 GHz Intel Pentium M is not great like the Qosmio Q25, but its still good. The notebook is elegant in design with nice combination silver and black color. The build is sturdy with good protection for the screen. There’s no ripples on the screen when push on the back. But it’s bit heavier for its class, about 7.3 pounds, and also bigger. Not easy to carrying this notebook around. The 15.4″ widescreen is amazing. Its bright and the contrast of the colors is great. Its bit reflective, but overall the screen is very nice. (more…)

The Vaio UX180P is a stylish UMPC from Sony which is will enchantment everyone who looking at it. Its strong and solid in design with 4.5″ screen and some buttons beside it. On the right side are the pointer, zoom in/out, built in microphone and power switch. On the left side are mouse buttons, wireless on/off and launcher buttons for Sony’s management console. And on the top of the screen, there are the speaker, biometric scanner and the camera. This wonderfull machine also come with QWERTY keyboard. The 4.5″ screen is very nice. Its perform pure inside and outside. The screen is a touch screen too, which is works well and sensitive. (more…)

The Inspiron 600m with 14.1″ bright screen is a light notebook, only 5.6 pounds, so its easy to carrying around. Dell build this notebook just like others Dell’s notebook, case of plastic, grey and blue color and nice look. Dell does not made this machine solid. Push on the back and you’ll see flex. The hinge not that batter too, open the screen and its bit wobble. But overall, the Inspirom 600m is nice looking notebook with nice design. (more…)

The Blackberry 8700 is 320 x 240 transmissive LCD Pocket PC with QWERTY keyboard. Its design thin with large screen and somehow larger than the average phone. The screen is nice with full QVGA resolution with lot of space for the applications. The keyboard is comfortable and easy to use. But the build quality is not good enough. Its wobbly and shaky, not solid like other device such as Palm products.

The Blackberry 8700 powering by 312 MHz Intel Processor and backed up by 16 MB RAM and 64 MB flash memory. The Processor is PXA901 which is usually use in cellular phones. The 64 MB flash memory will give extra space to storage. Its nice. (more…)
