Prime Notebook Computer Review

The Tecra M7 Tablet PC with rotating screen is a powerfull notebook from Toshiba. This notebook looks so elegant with black and metallic silver color. Toshiba also built this Tablet PC very sturdy. There’s also fingerprint scanner on the side of the screen. This fingerprint is easy to use and works very well when use as notebook or Tablet PC. The notebook also has a good feature, shock detection sensor. It’s work when the machine moved, shut down the hard disk to prevent damage.

The notebook come with Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83 GHz as the processor. Its a poweefull processor. The Core Duo still the best for notebook processor. Its fast and works well even when doing heavy tasks or run intensive program or heavy games. The processor backed up by 1 GB 533 MHz of RAM and 60 GB hard disk for storage.

The screen is 14.1″ WXGA with 1440 x 900 pixels resolution. The screen is so bright and also come with wide view angle. The graphics card is NVIDIA Quadro 128 MB give more than you expected.

The keyboard, although not full-size, almost have no flex. It’s not an amazing keyborad, but still nice to use. The touchpad is standart with two mouse buttons. Both works well. Upper corners of the keyboard are two speakers. The speakers is a standart notebook’s speakers. For more best audio, add external speakers or a pair of headphone.

This notebook almost cool. There’s only little heat on the lower left of the keyboard, but still comfortable. The fan, like the optical drive, is so quiet, but still doing a good job to cooling down the machine.

For wireless, the notebook come with Intel PRO/wireless 802.11a/b/g. Its works well without lost connection.
The battery is not amazing. I could only get 2-2.5 hours under normal use. But it’s still nice compare to other notebooks.

Overall, the Toshiba Tecra M7 is a nice Tablet PC with great power. Although the battery is poor, its still a good choice for anyone who looking for powerfull notebook/Tablet PC.
