The Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi is an ultraportable notebook which is balanced the high-performance ultraportability and superior efficiency by creating the ultimate lightweight notebook for highly-mobile professionals and dynamic businesses. It’s cool looking and nice. The cover made by plastics that looks like carbon fiber. The keyboard feels good and every key provides firm feedback. And the touchpad has rough feel. The screen is perfect. It is crisp and clear with nice 1280×800 resolution.

The Intel Core Duo processor is work very fast. The Super Pi program used to comparize the laptops. The result are the Acer TravelMate 3012WTMi 1.66GHz T2300 took 85 seconds to calculate Pi to 2 Million Digits of accuracy. The IBM ThinkPad X60s 1.66GHz LV Core Duo took 83 seconds, IBM ThinkPad T43 1.86 GHz Pentium M took 105 seconds, and Lenovo ThinkPad T60 2GHz Core Duo took 78 seconds to calculate the value.
The notebook come with some software like Acer GraviSence, Acer GridVista, Acer Empowering Technology, Acer Launch Manager, VCM for the Bluetooth VOIP handset and Adobe Acrobat Reader , Cyberlink PowerDVD , NTI CD Maker , Norton AntiVirus.

The TravelMate 3012WTMi comes with 2 batteries but only one can be installed. The 6-cell Li-Ion will take 3:40 hours of battery life and the 3-cell Li-ion only 1:30 hours. To charge the battery it’s only took 2 hours with power off and 2.5 hours with power on.
The Acer 3012WTMi is very quiet and almost no heat on it.
The ports on the 3012WTMi are 3 x USB 2.0, Fast Infrared port, VGA port, IEEE 1394, Modem (RJ-11), Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45), Speaker/ headphone/ line-out jack with S/PDIF support, Microphone/line-in jack, 124-pin Acer ezDockconnector and DC-in jack for AC adapter.
It also comes with Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and WLAN 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth, IrDA. The Bluetooth works perfectly and the WLAN also works well.

The Acer Travelmate 3012WTMi is a nice small notebook. Although the battery life is not perfect and the webcam does not work with Skype, the weight and size of the notebook is perfect to traveller and the processor works very fast.
